A concert with one of the finest jazz and blues guitarists Remi Harris - playing Django Reinhardt with his trio. Opt for a ticket with dinner or a ticket without dinner at the Yard.

Our final night in the 2023 International Guitar Festival sees acclaimed guitarist Remi Harris joined by double bassist Tom Moore and rhythm guitarist Chris Nesbitt for an evening of Gypsy Jazz.

Led by exciting young guitarist Remi Harris on acoustic and electric guitars, accompanied by a hot club rhythm section of acoustic guitar and double bass, the Remi Harris Trio take Gypsy Swing characteristics and infuse them with influences from Jazz, Blues, Rock’n’Roll, Funk and World Music. He has performed at some of the most renowned events and venues in the world, including the Montreal Jazz Festival, Buckingham Palace, BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall with Jamie Cullum, on BBC 4 Television and live on BBC Radio 2 & 3. PROGRAMME

Audiences will be treated to a night of eclectic musical entertainment, with guitar and double bass engaged in an intimate, effortless instrumental conversation. Expect new spins on jazz standards and familiar tunes, improvisations, and original compositions. The ease and warmth of Remi’s stage presence, together with his virtuoso talent, will have concert goers captivated by his passion for the guitar. 

2022 saw the release of Remi’s long-awaited third album ‘On Track’ and a newly published guitar book ‘100 Gypsy Jazz Guitar Licks’. His output has received accolades from the likes of Dr Martin Taylor MBE who recently said

Music in Action are launching Jersey’s second Guitar Festival from 9th to 12th November.

Enjoy three amazing concerts from St Ouen’s Manor to the Methodist Church. As well as the public events, the musicians will be going into schools and holding a series of workshops and masterclasses to inspire Jersey’s finest students and young children.
