The 15th Liberation International Music Festival celebrated our beautiful island of Jersey and its people with music.

With a theme of “Islands” and Coronation, the Liberation Festival welcomed internationally renowned artists to Jersey to enrich lives and deliver educational outreach.

Including a mixture of outdoor concerts and concerts in dramatic locations, and educational sessions the 2023 Jersey International Music Festival truly had something for everyone! Festival artists included celebrated singers from the coronation at Westminster Abbey, opera stars Lucy Crowe and Chen Reiss, jazz great Julian Joseph, and the wonderful violinist Harriet Mackenzie.

Some brilliant local were artists featured include Eva Hsieh on marimba, Red Fish, Jersey Academy of Music Saxophone ensemble, and the Jersey Festival Choir.

More than 20 outreach workshops were delivered in various schools. Ten young singers were invited to participate to a singing masterclass given by Lucy Crowe and Anna Tilbrook and the Jersey Academy of Music students had the rare opportunity to get involved in a jazz workshop delivered by Julian Joseph and its trio.
