A not to be missed night. International guitar legend Carlos Bonell, a regular performer with the Royal Philharmonic and the world's leading orchestras, plays Rodrigo's famous Concierto de Aranjuez. His recording is widely acclaimed as the best ever and described as a Masterclass in Magic" by the BBC.
The concert is in aid of Standard Chartered's global initiative Seeing is Believing which restores sight to the blind in Africa. The programme's theme is "Seeing through Music" and includes Rossini's exciting Italian in Algiers Overture and Beethoven's joyful 7th Symphony.
Carlos has recorded extensively from his celebrated recording of the Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez (which he will be playing with the Jersey Chamber Orchestra) – widely regarded as the best ever - to film soundtracks such as the Hollywood blockbuster City of Angels, not to mention a Grammy nominated recording with John Williams. Carlos is currently advising Sir Paul McCartney on composing a new guitar concerto.

and dramatic songs from Strauss to Schubert and finishing with some popular favourites by Gershwin and Porter.
